Product rules support integration between Shed and our partners:

  • Agworld

  • John Deere Operations Center

When editing the rule for an incoming product from an integration partner, you will have the option to:

  • Use and existing product in Shed.

  • Create a new product in Shed.

  • Ignore the product.

When using an existing Shed product, products will only be shown in the list if the substance type is compatible:

  • Incoming products with a liquid substance type can only be linked to Shed products using volume Units.

  • Incoming products with a Solid substance type can only be linked to Shed products using Weight Units.

  • Incoming products that are Seeds can only be linked to Shed that are categorised as Seeds.

How to resolve incompatible products:

  • Once a product has been set up with weight or volume based units, the substance type can not be changed.

  • To resolve the issue, a new product with the correct units must be created.

  • Once a correctly configured product has been created:

    • You should move any data created on the old product over to the new product (opening inventory, receipts, transfers, adjustments etc...) To view all records, click on a product from the storage dashboard. This will open the product journal and links to all records that should be transferred to the correct product.

    • Set up the product rule to the correct Shed product

    • Delete the incorrect product from your Shed product list.
